Fixing History - Award winning print Ad
Creative Director - Amish Dash Sabharwal
The Brief
Create an impactful print ad campaign that underscores the effectiveness of QFix Superglue, using the metaphor of "fixing" things permanently and for the better. The campaign should resonate on a deep, emotional level and be memorable to the audience.
Challenge
The primary challenge was to develop a concept that would not only highlight the product's strength and reliability but also stand out in the crowded adhesive market.
Execution
The ad visually and textually reconstructs excerpts from the original 1941 speeches of Hitler and Mussolini, carefully edited to craft a joint peace declaration. This editing not only highlights the product’s ability to "fix" but also metaphorically suggests that what is broken (be it objects or historical narratives) can be reconstructed positively.
- Visuals: The ad features a torn paper aesthetic, with pieces of the original speeches being glued back together to form the new message of peace. The QFix Superglue tube is subtly integrated, shown as applying the glue that binds the pieces.
- Copy: Real speeches of Hitler and Mussolini from 1941 declaring war on the allies. Tore them apart and fixed them together to make a joint statement of peace
